This video made me realize what a mess home theature setups right now, HTPC, its just not ready for the main stream consumer. Far from it. We need a way to control it with a good remote, and eveyone has all thier own setups… HDMI is not fully developed, and every tv has diffrent features ect ect…. YIKES what a nighmate.

They didn’t jump on any standard, they set an unnecessary standard on a gaming platform, increasing the price significantly to publicise it for sony.

The didn’t take the initiave. Sony created the blue-ray media type, in large part because of the high storage demand needed by games on the ps3 to have such badasstastic graphics.
They made a smart move by finally creating a good storage medium, totally trumping the hddvd
