How do I connect my PS3 to the internet wirelessly when my computer has a wired connection?
Posted on Dec 27, 2009 under ps3 | 12 CommentsMy computer has a wired connection, but the PS3 is in another room so a wired connection is impossible. Is there anything I can buy that will emit a wireless signal from my computer that my PS3 will be able to pick up?
You’ll need a router
Since the PS3 is in the house just a little bit away you won’t need a fancy $100 one. You can get one for $60.
Just set it up using instalation CD that comes with the router. Put in the settings and stuff and your good!
On you XMB go to Settings, Network Settings, Search for an Acess point and click your Wireless Internet
This all takes about 2 hours
good luck!

Buy a wireless router and hook it to the modem. Your ps3 has a built in wireless (wi-fi) receiver. So then all you have to do its setup the wireless connection through the ps3

You’ll need to buy and set up a wireless router (I recommend a Linksys wireless router.)

This question has a very simple question. All you have to do is go out and buy a wireless router that hooks up to you modem. Right now your modem is the box you have that is connected from the wall to the computer. Once you have the wireless router your set up will be like this. Wall >modem> router>computer. Then just go to your ps3 and scroll to settings> network. Scan for the network and set everything to auto configure. Then you are connected

I really don’t understand why anyone would disagree with that. I think that sounds like it is something to appear a lot more closely at. I really feel occasionally alot of individuals can be pretty narrow minded when it comes that. Well thats all for now, look forward to more post and information.. Talk to you men later. “As in life, Chill for best results”
