Call of Duty 4 Leveling Tips (PS3)?

Anybody have any tips for leveling on CoD4? I just got it for PS3 and was wondering if there is an good combinations of weps and perks.

As soon as you unlock game modes such as headquarters and search and destroy you can easily gain xp. In 15 minutes of headquarters I get around 500+ xp excluding match bonus and stuff. In 10 minutes on search and destroy I can get 300/400 in 10 minutes.
Also for weapons I choose a M40A3 sniper rifle for the sniping levels. For normal levels I use the M4 Carbine. And for hardcore games I use RPD because it is basically 2 bullet kills, nice and easy if you can see the enemies quickly.

It depends what you go with. I’ll give you a few noob combinations
M4 Carbine + Red Dot w/ USP .45 + Silencer
1x Stun
Perk 1: Claymores
Perk 2: Stopping Power
Perk 3: Steady Aim
MP5 + Silencer w/ USP .45 + Silencer
1x Stun
Perk 1: Bomb Squad/Bandolier
Perk 2: UAV Jammer/Stopping Power
Perk 3: Dead Silence/Extreme Conditioning
Remember only play HQ and S&D, they give out the most points. Only use UAV Jammer in Search and Destroy. Otherwise you’ll want kills and Stopping Power gets the job done

otherwise if you want people to hate you… you can use either
M16 with Grenade Launcher attachment

THE FASTEST WAY
as soon as get to 150 kills with one gun move on to another……1000 points per gun adds up…
no specific perk combination’s that will help your skills…..
