Any tips when it comes to crossing and heading in FIFA 09 for the PS3?
Posted on Feb 21, 2010 under ps3 tips | 3 CommentsAnytime i hit in a corner or a cross its always goes to the edge of the box, rarely in the middle, and i struggle to beat people going up for a header in the box, and rarely score headers, any tips??
you need to use the cross technique.
basically theres 3.
if you hold or tap the cross button, it goes to the futher post.
if you double hold or tap the cross button it goes to the front post
if you tripple thold or tap then cross button, it goes to the ground.
sometimes its best to hold the L1 button to cross too.
use a team like juventus where they have 3 big tall guys

Move left stick forward and triangle .. thats what i do … or when your defending a coner always put one of your guys in the net ..sometimes he saves it lol …

The only advice I can give is practice, practice, practice…
When you’re running down the wings, watch the opposition man on the wing who’s job it is to mark you. Time the cross for when you see your lead striker entering the box.
Alternatively, you need to outfox said marker to get past him and whip in the cross for your star player to finish, so even a simple waggle of the stick (ie, flick it back as he runs at you, putting your back to goal, that way you are between him and the ball, drawing a potential foul if he mis-times the tackle, which they often do!) can confuse the opposition.
Timing is crucial as you can split an entire defence with the right amount of power (usually half power if you want it to go to the centre of the box) leaving your star man open to score (providing you beat the keeper).
