What are some tricks to winning at PS3 John Madden Football 2009?

I play all the time on line and despite my hours of practice, I still seem to stink. How do I win and how do I lay a hit that makes the whole screen shake? Are there any tricks or secret moves? Please help, I promise I won’t use your secrets against you online!

Do lots of running plays. That’s what I do and it works out good.
