Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening occurs following the events of Dragon Age: Origins and puts players into the role of a Grey Warden Commander entrusted with rebuilding the order of Grey Wardens. Players will face a range of horrific and terrifying creatures including an evolved, intelligent breed of darkspawn and other menacing creatures such as the Inferno Golem and Spectral Dragon. Not to smack, but some of the voice acting is awful.
Which is dissapointing since there are also alot of good voice actors in DA:O and in other Bioware games like Mass Effect its superb throughought.

    Yes it was!!!! I’m …
Yes it was!!!! I’m confident Awakening ill be just as good at Origins. Also I could agree more about the first act of KotOR II. lol

  5. CerberusGX Says:

    Yes, KotOR was a …
Yes, KotOR was a great game, but the sequel was much less enjoyable. The first act seemed to drag on forever, and the characters were dull. Awakening will be as excellent as the game it’s expanding on.

  6. DragonAge1103 Says:

    Well Awakening will …
Well Awakening will be nothing like KotOR II. I can assure you, b/c KotOR II is terrible & from another company. A really crappy company that most people will tell you is very good at ruining games. lol. KotOR1 better than 2 same for NWN. Point being this isn’t a hand off to a junk company. It will have higher quality. Plus I’m pretty sure KotOR 2 was like years after KotOR not months.

  7. CerberusGX Says:

    Oh. Well that’s …
Oh. Well that’s cool then. Yeah, since it’s an expansion I guess it would be easier to do than if it was a full sequel.

    @CerberusGX
From what I heard in an IGN interview, there will be a canon ending, but only for those who import a save from early on in DA:O. If you import an end-game save into DA:A, then players will get a lot of mixed reactions from NPCs based off the decisions your character made.

  9. CerberusGX Says:

    No…I mean KOTOR 2 …
No…I mean KOTOR 2 was a direct sequel to the first one. So, since the first was so open ended in terms of story, they can’t just make the sequel follow everything the player did. They would have to establish oen solid canonical timeline. For example, canonically, Revan was a man, and killed Malak. But in the first game, you can play as a woman and not kill Malak. They couldn’t just say “Well Revan was a man and a woman and was a good and bad person.” It’s hard to explain in words., really.

    I’m not sure what …
I’m not sure what you mean here? There was never an expansion for KotOR 1 or 2.

  11. DragonAge1103 Says:

    You must not of …
You must not of found much in game. They recycle armors a lot but the re-textures for the most part are vastly different. Plus I understand b/c people just like to complain. lol. I mean Light, Medium, Heavy, & Massive with 2 or more models of each plus re-textures so like 5-8 or more of each level or armor…makes a lot of armor. lol.

  12. DragonAge1103 Says:

    Bioware has already …
Bioware has already confirmed you’ll level to mid or high 30′s by the time you finish so if you do the math that is a lot of play time. Considering every time you level your xp to the next lv goes up. So you can gain at least 10 levels in Awakening. That’s 1/3 of Origins which was 81 & 68 hours for me so plenty to do. Cost goes up over time so you can pay or miss out :(

  13. DragonAge1103 Says:

    you can import your …
you can import your save or start a new character as an Orlesian Commander of the Grey Warden’s.

looks bad.. i just hope they dont add a bunch of recolored/ retextured armor.. they did that WAY to much in the first half, id like to see some new styles.

  15. chunga100 Says:

    I think they might …
I think they might not tho, maybe it will be however you did it in your game? They seem like ppl who like to take their time on projects and do all possible endings to make the experience all the better.

  16. CerberusGX Says:

    I’m sure they’ll do …
I’m sure they’ll do what they did with Knights of the Old Republic II. They’ll basically establish one solid canonical timeline. So canonically, Alistair became king, and the warden lived, which also makes me assume that the ritual with Morrigan was done as well. Or I could be completely wrong.

  17. chunga100 Says:

But if you get the secret companion, Alllister leaves.

Personally i like the secret companion more then Allister. Allister has alot of personailty but the way you convert the secret allie and what he used to be just has a special feeling to it.

  21. dbmccart Says:

    @Gah1231 With a …
@Gah1231 With a hefty $40 price tag it better offer a of alot of content. The game only cost me 50 bucks, so unless they want to drop the pc price 10 dollars it better be big.

  22. Box0r0x0rz Says:

    so that means that …
so that means that i will be able to continue playing after finishing the main quest? YES!

  23. Gah1231 Says:

If it is just an …
If it is just an expansion, then it will probobly be just as expansive story wise as the actual game, meaning that it will play depending on the ending you got to the original game. you might not even be able to play the game without a finished save file.

  24. Parhell Says:

    yeah but that’s dlc …
yeah but that’s dlc, this is an expansion pack adding new characters, enemies a new region to go to and new story. the expansion i’ve played was shivering isles and knights of the nine in oblivion. or if you can consider it, broken steel and point lookout for fallout 3.

  25. chunga100 Says:

But, what if you got the secret companion instead of him?
